Royal Galata Hotel - Istanbul

The location is perfect for exploring, and the electric kettle was a nice touch. Captivating views from the balcony. I loved how the staff helped arrange my cab and shared great local tips for sight-seeing.

Particularly good location for our needs, so close to 7 minute-walk for Galata tower as well as public transport. Also, in 5 minutes on metro. Had deluxe double room with a balcony and seaview plus nice view. Modern design;)))

The staff were super-friendly all of the time. Thoroughly enjoyed the impeccably clean room with seaview.

Unique Turkish breakfast delight

Pleasant hotel, caring and superfriendly staff, fantastic location central to everything which makes moving around easy. A great selection of tasty food for meals. Modern, neat room with nice view and a balcony, as example!

We got spotlessly clean deluxe double room with a balcony as an upgrade, nice gesture. An air conditioner and a balcony were much appreciated...

The breakfast spread was a good feast, with a vast array of cheeses and traditional Turkish dishes that transported me straight into the heart of Istanbul's culinary scene. The staff were beyond helpful, easily accommodating all our requests with a smile. Oh, and the location? Just a hop away from Galata Tower and surrounded by charming eateries like Yuksek Restaurant & Bar!

All was great, but the room had some thin walls-definitely was like I was part of my neighbors' conversations. That hill? It's a real cardio workout every time you head back to the hotel. Still, the fun and flavors of Istanbul made it all worth it.

Navigating the hill which the hotel sits on can be quite a hassle, especially if you're hauling luggage or have any mobility issues. The rooms are smaller than advertised, leaving me struggling to find space for my bags. Soundproofing could use some work, as I could hear conversations from the neighboring rooms at times. The bathroom, while renovated, had limited space to store toiletries, a bit inconvenient. Getting a taxi to the entrance proved difficult due to the layout, leading to some stressful moments when heading to the airport.

The staff were really good. They were great. The room was spacious with a lovely balcony where we enjoyed fine city views. The spa services were a highlight. The hammam was soothing and well worth the time after long days exploring.
